Updating Our No Code Mobile App Builder Suggestions
In our previous article on the best no code app builders for non tech founders, we shared what we thought were the top choices to create mobile app without coding.
However, that article was published in 2022, and since then, there have been tons of new no code app builders on the market.
Existing app builders have also added new features like Flutterflow’s AI Gen.
It’s time to do an updated review of available options, and so, here are 15 no code mobile app builders in 2024, ranked from best to worst.
Our No Code App Builder Comparison Framework
To reliably evaluate options, we put together a comparison framework for comparing no code app builders based on seven metrics:

Collectively, these measure all the parts of a no code app builder a founder would want.
The scoring is quite straightforward:
- If an app builder doesn’t meet the description of a metric, it gets a zero.
- If it barely meets the description, it gets a 1.
- If it goes beyond this minimum, it gets a 2.
Then we add up the scores to see how each mobile app builder scored out of 14.
From there, we sorted them into four tiers.

This tier was a bit of a joke – the idea being only God is perfect.
We thought it would be a funny way to highlight that there are no perfect no code app builders, but, well…Flutterflow scored a perfect 14!
We don’t think it’s actually perfect, certainly not the perfect app builder for every use case.
But it goes above and beyond for every metric in our comparison framework.

This ranking is based on overall score across seven different metrics.
And while some metrics like success stories should be equally important for most use cases, others like code export will matter more to certain founders.
Speaking of which, it seems rarer for no code mobile app builders to offer code export.
At any rate, this means two things for you:
- Two app builders with the same overall score won’t be equally viable.
- An app builder with a lower overall score could outperform one with a slightly higher score.
