You saw the title – no further explanation needed!

We’ll be sharing eight micro-SaaS ideas we found on Reddit making at least USD1,000 in monthly recurring revenue (MRR).

In some parts of the world that’s “Screw you!” money!

Depending on your currency exchange rate, that could be mighty attractive!

Let’s begin.

1. AskYourDatabase (1k MRR in 4 months)

AskYourDatabase is a slightly technical micro-SaaS that lets users connect their SQL databases to an Open AI chatbot.

The chatbot can then analyze data in the database to return specific answers.

Super helpful for businesses who want to find out details like

  • best selling products
  • highest value customers
  • worst performing salespeople

An AI that can access specific SQL databases really has two main use cases – internal tools and customer facing chatbots.

And Ask Your Database offers both under different pricing plans, makes sense to us!

2. Summarify (1k MRR in 4 months)

Summarify is a micro-SaaS that uses AI to help users summarize long-form content, and it is probably the simplest (and easiest to steal) idea on this list.

It can summarize basically any kind of file you need summarized, including:

  • audio recordings
  • PDFs
  • youtube videos
  • Text documents

Something like this has a super wide target audience base, basically anyone who uses the internet will at one point want to summarize something.

3. Promotee (1k MRR, no mention of timeframe)

Promotee is a Reddit marketing automation tool with a super unique feature: It’s powered by AI.

Oh wait, that’s also super common.

But common just means a LOT of entrepreneurs and small businesses will find this useful.

Spoiler: Business owners hate social media, so Promotee automates the most annoying parts of the process including:

  • Comment Creation: Generates comments based on a persona you describe.
  • Lead Generation: Searches through comments for specific keywords.
  • Bait and Hook: Helps place bait in the water; you can engage once someone shows interest.

Not bad at all, though on a personal note, we hate this cause bots are one of the reasons Reddit is dying.

4. Shoutout (1k MRR in 2.5 months)

Shoutout is a testimonial collection micro-SaaS that allows its users to create an embeddable testimonial form for their websites.

For us, this is the epitome of how execution matters just as much as the idea.

Cause the idea has been done before and will be done again and again.

But man, shoutout to Shoutout for a super clean interface and very clear UX.

I love that little ‘it’s free’ comment to nudge a lead.

Say no more.

But that aside one feature I thought was super cool was how you can easily pull testimonials from other sites and combine them into one shoutout widget.

5. Agenthost (1.5k MRR in 2 months)

Agenthost AI is a micro-SaaS that lets users create AI agents with no code.

In a nutshell – an AI agent is when you connect an LLM like Open AI to specific databases and external apps and give it instructions on how to answer user queries.

All those AI powered apps we see? The good ones are powered by AI agents, and Agenthost allows you to build and deploy them with no code.

They’ve got a ton of users – USD1.5K MRR in two months is awesome and I can see why.

6. RivalSense (1k MRR, no mention of timeframe)

RivalSense is a micro-SaaS that uses AI to help you keep tabs on your competitors.

On the concept alone, we’re sold.

So what happens is:

  1. you tell them your competitors
  2. they tap into (according to them) over 80 data sources
  3. you get a weekly report of what your competitors are up to

We checked out their sample and it’s in a newsletter style with links to sources so you know it’s not just made up.

Sounds simple enough right?

7. Guidejar (1.1k MRR, no mention of timeframe)

Guidejar is a browser extension that helps users easily create step by step guides or interactive guides for websites or product demos.

  • Guide Creation: Click through your guide or onboarding tutorial to create drafts automatically.
  • Editing: Customize drafts with AI assistance.
  • Reusing Clips: Copy and paste repetitive steps across multiple guides.

Very handy for bigger products.

Their free plan lets you make five guides without access to AI editing features, but for just $10 you can have those and unlimited guides.

Very compelling pricing and a great simple product. A true micro-SaaS.

Ok, last one.

8. Receipt-AI (1k MRR, no mention of timeframe)

Receipt AI makes uploading receipts to accounting software effortless – we love this one too because in spite of how damn simple it is, it sure solves a huge pain in the butt!

You take a photo of your receipt and text it to Receipt AI.

Receipt AI then asks you which folder it belongs to and done.

In seconds.

It’s not super duper technical, and we’re sure a lot of the heavy lifting is being done with third party LLMs, but who cares?

We’d use it, so it’s a shame their text feature only covers numbers in the US and Canada.

Hey you, build a version that works in Malaysia!
