Reddit is WAY Better Than YouTube for Ideas!
We’ll cut to the chase – this is a list of 6 successful micro-SaaS that we found from combing various subreddits related to app and software development.
You see, on Reddit, unlike on YouTube, ideas go way beyond the daydreaming stage.
Instead of YouTubers coming up with gobbledygook, on Reddit you have actual founders who have:
- Thought of the idea
- Built an MVP
- Validated it, and crucially,
- Generated revenue from it
And these are six of our favorite micro-SaaS success stories we want to share with you, in ascending monthly recurring revenue (MRR) from lowest to highest.Meanwhile, products that act as middlemen are less technically complex and – the perfect use case for no code.

Let’s begin.
1. Famewall ($1,000/month)
- Time to Achieve MRR: 12 months
- Target Audience: Website owners
- Key Feature: Collect and display testimonials easily
Famewall is a micro SaaS that enables website owners to easily collect and display testimonials. Users receive a link to a testimonial collection page where customers can write or record their feedback.
Famewall then turns these testimonials into embeddable widgets in a variety of display options.
If that sounds simple, it’s because it is!
2. Clickpilot ($1,600/month)
- Time to Achieve MRR: 5 months
- Target Audience: YouTube content creators
- Key Feature: Compare YouTube thumbnails against competitors
Clickpilot is a micro app that allows users to preview and compare their YouTube video thumbnails against different YouTube interfaces, swap out different versions of thumbnails to find the most effective one, and auto-generate different versions of titles.
Comparing thumbnails against competitors or those in specific search results is very useful for content creators, especially at the reasonable price of $10 a month.
Cool fact: Clickpilot reached $1,600 MRR in just five months while costing only $100 to run!
3. GrowthPanels ($2,000/month)
- Time to Achieve MRR: 2 months
- Target Audience: SaaS founders
- Key Feature: Reward customers for specific actions
GrowthPanels helps other SaaS founders reward customers with discounts for taking specific actions, such as posting about a product or referring a friend.
Founders set actions and rewards through GrowthPanels and embed it on their site, and customers who carry out the actions enjoy discounts on their next Stripe bill.
4. Sketch Logo AI ($3,100/month)
- Time to Achieve MRR: 4 months
- Target Audience: Business owners and designers
- Key Feature: AI-generated logo designs from sketches
Sketch Logo AI allows users to create really cool-looking designs using AI, and in a world saturated with products like this, we really mean it!
Users draw on a sketchpad, provide a written prompt, and the AI generates beautiful designs that can be further refined with additional prompts.
Its main selling point is logo creation and at $19 a month, it appeals to many business owners and designers looking to save time.Repurposepie ($5,000/month)
- Time to Achieve MRR: in 3 days
- Target Audience: Content creators
- Key Feature: Converts tweets into short videos
5. Repurposepie ($5,000/month)
RepurposePie automatically converts tweets into short videos for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms, with Instagram support coming soon.
There’s not much else to say – it’s a very pure interpretation of a micro SaaS.
It does what it says on the tin, and nothing more.
Despite the simple concept, RepurposePie reached a $5,000 MRR in just three days, which is insane and shows the potential of serving content creators and piggybacking off of social media.
6. Unicorn Platform ($16,000/month)
- Time to Achieve MRR: Not stated
- Target Audience: Startups and solopreneurs
- Key Feature: AI website builder for simple use cases
Unicorn Platform is an AI website builder pitched as a simpler alternative to WordPress or Webflow to appeal to startups and solopreneurs who prioritize ease of use and speed over complexity at the cost of steeper learning curves.
It was also acquired for $800,000 by MarsX, a platform combining micro apps to help create no code and low code apps.
We’d hesitate to still label Unicorn Platform as a micro SaaS in its current iteration, but it’s a good example of an idea starting out as a micro SaaS that can then expand and diversify.
